This morning, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that a second lottery will soon be held for fiscal year 2025. The USCIS will select additional H1B registrations randomly from those submitted in March 2024. The USCIS noted that the master’s cap has been reached, so the second lottery will solely be for the regular cap.
As with the first lottery, those with selected registrations will have their myUSCIS accounts updated to include a selection notice. No details were provided regarding how many additional registrations will be selected, or precisely when the second lottery will take place.
